A new study claims working after the eighth month of pregnancy can be just as dangerous as smoking for mothers-to-be and their babies. The truth is, women are working more hours than they have in the last 20 years. Half of my patients need to work for economical reasons.
While I believe it's extreme to say working is just as dangerous as smoking, we do see working pregnant mothers sometimes experience symptoms such as anxiety, lack of sleep and even postpartum depression.
