Almonds. Rich in vitamins B2 and E, two nutrients that help boost the immune system during times of stress and magnesium is especially beneficial during times of high stress. They make an excellent snack on their own or with a piece of fruit.
Wild Salmon. The omega-3 fatty acids in salmon help keep cortisol and adrenaline from spiking during stressful situations. Eating protein regularly can also help prevent spikes and drops in blood sugar, which is also stressful on the body. Make sure to stick with wild salmon since farmed salmon is loaded with antibiotics, chemicals and toxins.
Make sure to get plenty of these foods into your diet on a regular basis and in times of extreme stress try reaching for one of these stress-busting foods instead of junk food!
